ENOLA HOLMES 1

On the morning of her sixteenth birthday, her mother Eudoria disappears. Enola, raised at Ferndell Hall, spends most of her childhood defying the expectations thrust upon Victorian women. She learns literature, archery, science, and survival skills instead. With her mother’s disappearance, her brothers Mycroft and Sherlock make an appearance. Mycroft is determined to send her to boarding school to be a proper woman, while Sherlock is impressed by her mind.

Enola, with the influence of the clues left behind by her mother, makes a choice and sneaks out to find her mother. During her pursuit, she finds herself helping Viscount Tewkesbury; she helps him as he is in danger, then seeks her mother out.

She discovers her mother was involved with a secret group of suffragettes in preparation for radical action. As well as investigating Tewkesbury’s case and realizing it’s deeper than they thought their is a mastermind behind the attempted murders. With her figuring out all this, Enola becomes a detective in her own right, her brothers’ influence cast aside.

In Enola Holmes two the plot is wider.

It starts with Enola trying and failing to establish herself as a detective. Those who come to her come in the hope of having Sherlock work their case.

However, a girl named Bessie comes to her to help find her missing sister, Sarah. In her pursuit of truth, she is framed for murder. She manages to escape and continues to work the case undercover, finding those connected to Sarah. She finds William, the factory owner’s son, who is in love with Sarah. Before he says what needs saying, Grail’s men capture her. She is rescued and continues her pursuit.

They also realize that her story is entwined with Sherlock’s. It ends with Enola reopening her detective agency. Sherlock offers her a partnership, but she turns him down through it all; her relationship with Tewkesbury continues to flourish.

Weddings… We all love weddings, but what happens when the bride doesn’t show up?

Enola is to be wed to Tewkesbury, but she’s hesitant to give up her name once she’s rightfully earned it. However, she never makes it to the wedding

Dr. Watson delivers news of Sherlock Holmes’s disappearance. Now more than ever, Enola needs to prove herself, for her skill might be the only reason Sherlock stays alive.

A Holmes does not disappear without leaving clues for a Holmes.

All three films touch on familial ties. With exciting fighting scenes and intentional hints and traces, this film is endearing and charming. Enola breaking the fourth wall and talking directly to the screen makes viewers feel like a part of her findings. Fast cuts and cinematic edits make this movie entertaining. A must-watch for action lovers.
